CFO Selects Software to Solve System Reporting Challenges

CFO Mark Vanlerberghe was entrusted by an agricultural grower in the California Almond Industry to find software that could be designed to deliver real time financials for multiple ledger entries. Mark began interviewing several software candidates, searching for the right relationship.  He settled on AgVision Agribusiness Software. Then he implemented presenting the vision of his client’s needs by creating flow charts in great detail illustrating the entire process.

Once AgVision understood the task, Mark negotiated the programming contract (which included complex premium and charge calculations based on USDA testing), procured the necessary hardware, and executed hands-on oversight with programmers through debugging and testing. The results added up to a total success. The client had an integrated software system that delivered Real-Time Grower Receipt detail reporting with supporting Inventory additions into General Ledger; Real-Time Grower Statements, supporting General Ledger Grower Liability balances; and an Audit trail for all grower activity.
